About Me

My photo
Julie Brayton
United States
I've been an artist for as long as I can remember. Growing up in RI I starting out as young as 10 drawing animals which was my favorite subject at the time. After a while I sought out help to improve the skill of seeing properly. Then I started to feel the need to develop my creativity so I found artist Ernest Principato who introduced me to the methods taught at the Cape Cod School of Art. Through "Prince" as he's affectionately known, I learned to see the color of light. Painting the atmospheric affects that different times of day and times of year would present as well as different weather conditions. Finally after many trials and tribulations of life and raising four beautiful daughters I have the opportunity to put my all in learning, improving and painting. I have been fortunate to have painted and sold many work over the years. I have been commissioned by many to do murals, faux finishes and portraits. I also have done book illustrations, logo designs and other graphic art related work. I look forward to traveling and painting and sharing my work with others. To purchase one of my paintings feel free to contact me at julieart59@yahoo.com
